Workforce Readiness

The CU Learn to Earn Program

The Work-based Learning Experiences Coordinator (WLEC) directs the CU Learn to Earn program. Cameron University students are provided with training and workshops that foster professional development by helping students develop job skills and become more prepared for the workplace.

The WLEC provides on-going support to students as they prepare for, secure, and complete work-based learning experiences. The work-based learning experiences that the CU Learn to Earn program supports are on-campus work-studies, job shadowing opportunities, and internships. Work-based learning provides students with real-life work experiences where they can apply academic and technical skills and develop their employability.

This assistance helps students achieve their career goals, by providing career-related resources, programs, services, and opportunities that equip and empower them for the workforce.
